Survival Tools and Resources

Survival Tools On A WallGetting Prepared Takes Both Skills and Resources

So I wanted to create an easy-to-access resource page of all my favorite survival products and services. These products or services are ones that I have personally reviewed and vetted to ensure they are of high quality.

I view these products, services, and tools as essential to your survival success. While you also need the knowledge to survive, you cannot survive on knowledge alone.

You need the right tools.

I will add new recommendations to this list from time to time so check back often…

The LifeStraw Portable Water Filter

This is my “go-to” portable water filtration device. It’s one of the first tools I recommend for anyone new to survival.

You should never be left to drink unfiltered water that can leave you sick or dead. They are normally only $20 and are one of the best survival investments you can make.

The LifeStraw Water Filter is highly portable, simple to use, and effective and I believe every family member should have one for all potential disasters.

Valley Food Storage – Emergency Food Stockpile

There are a lot of options to choose from when it comes to making a large emergency food supply purchase.

Even the big corporations are trying to get your hard-earned $’s to buy their emergency food supply products.  However, Valley Food Storage is the best when compared to other emergency food suppliers.

Check out this helpful chart to easily compare Valley Food Storage to the other suppliers.

What I also appreciate about Valley Food Storage is that they are willing to send you a free sample (just pay shipping). So you might as well try it out first before you make a large long-term emergency food purchase.

Here’s a post I wrote providing more detailed stockpiling food information – Stockpiling Food Might Be Your Best Investment.

The Best Bug Out Bag

I took the time to write a detailed article about bug out bags – Best Bug Out Bag To Rely On When Diaster Strikes.

I wanted to help give those in the market for their very first bug out bag (and those who regret their current bug out bag purchase) some ideas on what to look for in finding YOUR best bug out bag.

When you boil it all down, I believe the 511 tactical 72-hour pack is the best. I’m not the only one who has such a high opinion of this bag, just take a look at the amazon review ratings this bag has.

Bottom Line: This is an awesome bug out bag you can rely on.

Bug Out Bag Items

You’ll want a checklist of items to include in your new 511 Tactical Bug Out Bag.  So I decided to create a comprehensive #104 item bug out bag checklist to ensure you don’t forget something critical to your survival.

Watch Your Pack Weight

I know I just gave you my comprehensive Bug Out Bag Checklist, but I don’t recommend you add all #104 items.  Why? Because you’d end up with a 100 lbs pack.

Instead, you’re going to have to prioritize and learn how to shave unnecessary lbs of your Bug Out Bag. I wrote a detailed guide titled – Bug Out Bag Weight: Shaving The Unnecessary Lbs

The “Done For You” Bug Out Bag

I’m a believer in the “Build Your Own” bug out bag, but I get that it’s not for everyone.  I’m also an advocate of getting prepared sooner rather than later.

Sometimes building your own bag can take a lot of time researching, so maybe you want to buy a “Done For You” bug out bag today, which will give you more time to research the perfect Bug Out Bag, but not leave you unprepared if SHTF tomorrow.

Whatever the reason…if you want a totally done for you bug out bag then this is the one you want to buy.  It’s an Echo-Sigma Bug Out Bag and includes all high-quality survival items needed to get bug out ready fast.

Capture

It’s got everything you need with a single purchase. You’ll save hours of research and confusion and be ready in days as opposed to months. Capture1
